National TRENDS

Most associations in the DC metropolitan area based compensation raises on merit/performance only, followed by a combination of merit/performance and cost of living, according to the TRENDS Compensation Report, which was produced with Cordom Associates. Cost of living only is the third most-popular reason for raises. No groups based raises on longevity, or cost of living and longevity. (See related article, "$alary momentum in Washington," this issue.) To obtain a copy of the full report, go to www.AssociationTRENDS.com/compensation2010.
