For service to associations
On behalf of Sen. Mark Warner (D-VA), his legislative aide Aryana Khalid (l) accepts the ASAE Sentinel Award from ASAE chairman Velma R. Hart, CAE, CFO, AMVETS. Warner could not attend the March 23 reception because of pressing votes in the Senate, including on healthcare. In fact, Khalid swiftly left as she was called by Warner to the Senate chamber. ASAE presents the Sentinel Award each year at its legislative fly-in, which the association held this week in DC. ASAE members discussed "The Power of A" as well as the jobs bill with their respective legislators. Details: www.asaecenter.org.
